Beef Tendon Sticks Chews for Dogs 7-9 inches - 8 oz - Made in USA

I read that these are good for a dog’s teeth but that’s not why I initially bought them for my 10-lb dog. I bought them as a treat that would last more than a nano-second.Fast forward several years. My vet cannot believe how healthy my now 10-yr-old dog’s teeth continue to be. And I have NEVER brushed (or had brushed) his teeth. He gnaws on them, which turns them stringy, then pulls them through his teeth, over and over again, I guess like flossing, to get the “meat” off them.

My big girl doberman loves, loves these more than dream bones and honestly a lot of other treats. Pig ears, rawhide free treat more than jerky and nylabone. My Dog T Loves to Chew on these Beef Tendons

Yesterday my 8 month old Dachshund spent in the ER ward at the Vet Hospital in Palm Springs. He woke at 3:15 AM convulsing, almost seizure like- would not eat or drink water, was extremely weak and obviously not feeling well. Took him in for Triage and he was pretty sick…. After the exam the vet ran a battery of blood test, gave him an infusion for his dehydration and could not identify what the issue was. Last night when I took him on his walk, he passed about 1/2 of a Chew Bone… he was su…ddenly bouncing around like a normal puppy…. The package does have a statement that the dogs should be under supervision while chewing on them. Take it seriously! I wasn’t sure he would be coming back home.

I’m not through the bag yet, but I found one that was shorter than 7 inches.

I bought some at a local store but they are 18” long, which is a bit much for our puppy. It would take her about 30mins to get 1/2 way through those so they were a good break time for use. We decided to try these since they are pricy at our local store. We will definitely go back to the other ones and use heavy wire cutters to split in half.These only last 10mins if we are lucky, but her average is 5mins. This isn’t worth the cost for a chew when she needs to have something lasting as she is te…ething. She wines for another as soon as one is gone and goes back to trying our fingers, feet, furniture and even the cat…she learned real quick the other dog isn’t an option.We have tried bulky sticks but they cause intestinal issues. These don’t have any problems at all so we prefer these over other chews. She will chew on toys some but does better with tendon and other food chews.
